THE PERIMENOPAUSE PATHWAY — GOLD COAST + ONLINE
A better way through perimenopause.
When changes to your sleep, mood, energy, concentration, metabolism or cycles start affecting how you feel and function, you don’t have to simply put up with it.
The Perimenopause Pathway is 12 weeks of personalised naturopathic care to understand what’s changing, address the symptoms and support your body through the transition.
PERSONALISED PERIMENOPAUSE SUPPORT
Your body is changing. Your care should change with it.
Perimenopause isn’t one hormonal event that we simply “balance” and send you on your way.
It’s a transition that can unfold over years, and every woman’s experience is different.
For some women, sleep disappears first. For others, it’s anxiety, brain fog, fatigue, weight changes, painful or unpredictable periods, hot flushes or a growing sense that they simply don’t feel like themselves anymore.
And hormones aren’t always the only thing influencing how you feel.
That’s why the Perimenopause Pathway isn’t a standard hormone protocol.
We look at your individual health picture, identify your priorities and build your treatment around what your body needs for each stage of the transition.
a personalised approach to perimenopause
We don’t try to “fix everything” at once
It’s easy to think that the transitition into perimenopause is the start of an awful experience we have no control over.
We believe however that this natural stage of life just needs the right support, so you can step through it with confidence (and the least amount of symptoms possible).
Using a combination of custom herbal medicine, supplements, nutritional and lifestyle amendments, backed with functional and pathology testing when needed, we support you through every step.
The perimenopause pathway
MORE THAN A HORMONE PROTOCOL
We look at the woman experiencing the change.
Your hormones don’t exist separately from the rest of your health.
Sleep affects how you cope. Stress can change how you feel and function. Nutrient status, thyroid function, blood-sugar regulation and other health factors can overlap with symptoms commonly associated with perimenopause.
That’s why we don’t automatically blame every new symptom on your hormones, and we don’t ignore hormonal changes either.
We look at what changed, when it changed, what else is happening and what deserves our attention first.
Your treatment may include nutritional medicine, herbal medicine, supplementation and lifestyle support, with further investigation where it’s genuinely useful.
12 weeks of practitioner-guided care

The Perimenopause Pathway
12 weeks, One structured pathway
Everyone’s journey through perimenopause and into menopause looks different. That is why our pathway doesn’t follow a stock-standard protocol, but it does follow a structured pathway.
Beginning with understanding your symptoms and how they’re affecting your life, we create your personalised treatment roadmap and outline the next 12 weeks of care. Over the next 12 weeks you’ll receive individual naturopathic care with ongoing clinical oversight and support. Plus our ongoing care means we can review and adjust your treatment plan as needed, to keep your results improving.
Rather than prescribing the journey before we’ve even met you, your pathway evolves according to what we uncover and how your body responds. Over 12 weeks you’ll have six one-to-one clinical consultations, a functional test (included), personalised treatment, regular check-ins and direct practitioner support.

Is the Perimenopause Pathway right for you?
The pathway might be the right solution for you if:
You’ve noticed changes in your body, mood, cycle or energy and suspect perimenopause may be involved.
You’re experiencing several symptoms at once and want someone to help make sense of the bigger picture.
Poor sleep, fatigue, brain fog, anxiety, mood changes or reduced resilience are affecting everyday life.
Your periods have become heavier, lighter, irregular, closer together or unpredictable.
You’re experiencing hot flushes, night sweats or other menopausal symptoms.
Your weight or body composition seems to be changing despite not doing anything particularly different.
You want more continuity and practitioner support than occasional standalone appointments provide.
You are using MHT/HRT and want naturopathic support alongside it
YOUR PERSONALISED journey
Your 12-Week Perimenopause Pathway
your symptoms
We map your symptoms, health history, menstrual and hormonal changes where relevant, medications or MHT/HRT, existing pathology, lifestyle and what has changed for you.
diagnoses & interventions
Evaluating existing pathology and working out next steps, to create your personalised treatment roadmap, establishing what deserves attention first.
medications & treatment
Working in with current medication and understanding what you’ve tried in the past.
your journey
We begin your individual treatment with regular consultations and practitioner support between appointments.

We identify what deserves attention first and create a realistic, individual treatment roadmap.
support
We begin your personalised treatment while monitoring symptoms, your body’s response, and adjusting as needed.
test if needed
A range of pathology is available, but we only use it if clinically relevant. We never test for the sake of testing.
Next steps
At the end of your initial 12 weeks, we take a deeper look at your progress, reassess where you are and create a plan for what comes next.
What’s Included
You’re fully supported through a 12 week healing pathway of practitioner-guided care. No more guess work, just clear steps with someone who is not just a qualified practitioner, but who also understands the chronic health journey personally.
Here is specifically what is included:
1:1 clinical consultations
6 clinical consultations: Initial Consultation 75mins, 4 Review Consultations 30min, Progress & Planning Review 60min. All sessions with Naturopath Cassandra, allowing continuity across your entire pathway.
Personalised treatment roadmap
A structured plan based on your individual priorities rather than a standard chronic-health protocol.
Epigenetic or Hormone Testing
Only included if relevant (if you have not already had the test done) to help uncover hidden drivers.
Regular Check-Ins
So we can monitor what’s happening between your scheduled appointments and support you as need arises.
Live blood analysis (in-person)
Clients attending in-person, we do live blood analysis to start and end your 12 weeks to assess progress. Online clients receive distance iridology reviews.
Review of existing pathology & investigations
We’ll start with what you already have rather than automatically ordering everything again.
Treatment Starter Pack
Your initial prescribed 200ml herbal medicine and/or practitioner supplements to help you begin treatment without immediately adding another large expense.
Direct Practitioner Support
Access between scheduled consultations for questions, updates and treatment guidance.
Acute Consult On-Demand
One brief acute consultation available during the pathway when you need additional support outside your planned appointments.
Supplement Discount
While you’re on the Complex Health Pathway you receive 5% off our competitively priced supplements (excludes herbal medicines).
Collaboration with your healthcare team
Where appropriate and with your consent, we can communicate with other practitioners involved in your care.
Additional testing
Further pathology or functional testing can be discussed where clinically relevant. Additional testing isn’t automatically ordered just because your case is complex. All testing is at cost price.
Using MHT/HRT? That’s absolutely okay.
The Perimenopause Pathway can be a standalone treatment pathway, or work alongside your GP, gynaecologist or other medical practitioners. You may already be using menopausal hormone therapy or HRT and want a natural alternative to work alongside it.
Whether you’re on HRT or not, we always consider your medications and existing treatment as part of your overall health picture and can work alongside your medical care. You don’t have to pick a team. The goal is the best care for you.
QUALIFIED NATUROPATH & OWNER OF HEALTH HAVEN – CASSANDRA DUFFILL
I’m in this chapter of life too…
Meet Cassandra Duffill
I’m not talking about perimenopause from the outside looking in. I’m 50 and navigating this stage of life myself, including my own hormonal changes after a hysterectomy & pelvic mesh removal in 2025.
I’ve experienced so many changes, being a naturopath doesn’t make me immune, and it’s been eye-opening to say the least! Where has my patience gone, why did I come into the kitchen, why am I so anxious for no reason and why do my joints ache so damn much…? But it has made me even more curious about what our bodies are doing and how to support them through the transition.
Perimenopause was already an area I knew well clinically. But living it daily has made me deep-dive even further; into what’s actually changing in our bodies, why women can experience it so differently, and how we can be better supported through the transition.
beyond the first 12 weeks
Perimenopause doesn’t work to a 12-week deadline.
and your care doesn’t have to either
The initial pathway gives us a meaningful period to understand your health, address with treatment, monitor how you’re responding and establish what support makes the biggest difference for you.
At your Progress & Planning Review, we’ll look at where you started, what’s changed, what still needs attention and what makes sense next.
For some women, that means moving to individual appointments as needed.
For others, less frequent maintenance reviews may be enough.
And some women may benefit from another period of structured support as their health and symptoms continue to change, in Peri-Evolve, a continuation of The Perimenopause Pathway.
There’s no obligation to continue. Your next step is always based on what you actually need.
part of your care team
Working alongside your healthcare team
Complex and chronic health often involves more than one practitioner or doctor, and that’s okay. You may already be working with your GP, medical specialists, allied-health practitioners or other healthcare providers.
Naturopathic care can form one part of that broader team.
We’ll consider your diagnoses, prescribed medications and existing treatment when making recommendations, and where appropriate we can communicate with other practitioners involved in your care.
If something needs medical investigation or sits outside our scope, we’ll tell you.
We can also keep your existing medical team up to date (with your permission) with regular reports.
The objective isn’t to replace the medical care you already have if it’s working for you. It’s to complement it and provide you with the next level of healing and support.

FAQs
How do I know if I’m actually in perimenopause?
You don’t need to know for certain before your appointment. Perimenopause can present differently between women and many of its symptoms overlap with other health concerns.
We’ll consider your age, symptoms, cycle changes where relevant, health history and other factors as part of your overall clinical picture.
Do I need blood tests before starting?
No. Bring any recent pathology you already have, but you don’t need to organise testing before your first appointment.
If further investigation would be useful, we can discuss this as part of your care.
Can I do the pathway if I’m taking MHT/HRT?
Yes. Naturopathic care can be used alongside MHT/HRT and other prescribed treatment. We’ll take your medications into consideration when developing your treatment plan and won’t ask you to stop medication prescribed by your doctor.
What if I’ve had a hysterectomy?
You can still experience hormonal changes associated with the menopausal transition following hysterectomy, although your individual circumstances – including whether your ovaries were retained – affect the picture.
We’ll take your surgical and medical history into account when assessing what’s happening for you.
What if my periods haven’t changed?
Changes to menstruation are only one part of the perimenopause picture. Some women notice changes to sleep, mood, cognition, energy or other areas before obvious cycle changes occur. We look at your broader symptom and health picture rather than relying on one symptom alone.
What’s included in the pathway?
Your 12-week pathway includes your Initial Consultation, four Follow-Up Consultations, 60-minute Progress & Planning Review, included assessment, personalised Treatment Roadmap, Treatment Starter Pack, practitioner support between appointments, one on-demand Acute Consultation and pathway supplement discount.
Are my supplements included?
Your initial Treatment Starter Pack is included and consists of 200 mL of individually formulated herbal medicine plus one or two practitioner supplements according to your needs. Any ongoing products required after your starter pack are purchased separately, with your pathway supplement discount applied. Please note the discount does not apply to custom blended herbal medicines, but applies to all supplements you may need.
Is additional testing included?
We include one test with the pathway when it’s relevant, which is usually either an epigenetic test that reviews all bodily systems, or a hormone related test. Which one we select depends on your symptoms and health goals. Your practitioner will select the appropriate test and organise for your referral or sample to be provided.
If we believe further investigation would be useful, we’ll discuss the reason with you and cost with you before anything is ordered. All additional testing is provided to you at our cost, we do not make a profit on testing to keep the costs lower for you.
Can I complete the pathway online?
Yes. The Perimenopause Pathway is available in person at Health Haven in Nerang on the Gold Coast and by telehealth Australia-wide.
Some in-clinic assessments, such as live blood analysis, can’t be performed via telehealth.
Some local clients like the convenience of combining in-person sessions with telehealth, and we often do a combination.
Do I have to continue after 12 weeks?
No. At your final Progress & Planning Review is specifically designed to assess where you are and determine what level of support, if any, makes sense next. If you do continue into Peri-Evolve you’ll find we consult less regularly and you require less herbal medicines and supplementation as your condition continues to improve. For these reasons you’ll find Peri-Evolve a cost-effective continuation that provides support and ongoing treatment, at a cost that is affordable, with both pay in full and monthly payment plan options.
Can I start with an Initial Consultation?
Absolutely. If you’re not sure whether you need the pathway, start with an Initial Consultation. If we subsequently decide the pathway is appropriate, the cost of your Initial Consultation can be credited toward your pathway (for example, if your initial consultation is $200, we class the Initial Consultation as the first session in your pathway and reduce the pathway price to $2400).
