Fatigue & Energy Naturopath – Gold Coast + Online
Tired all the time and not sure why?
Dragging yourself through the morning. Hitting a wall in the afternoon. Waking up tired after a full night’s sleep. Relying on coffee just to feel vaguely human.
Fatigue can have many different contributors, and finding out what’s driving yours is the first step towards feeling like yourself again.
Personalised naturopathic care for fatigue, low energy and unexplained exhaustion..
what’s going on?
Feeling tired all the time isn’t normal
There’s tired because you’ve had a massive week. And then there’s the kind of tired that doesn’t really go away. You might wake up exhausted. Your brain feels foggy. Exercise wipes you out instead of energising you. By afternoon you’re running on fumes, and by evening you’ve got nothing left.
Maybe your blood tests have been described as “normal,” but you still don’t feel right. Or perhaps you already know there’s something contributing; iron, thyroid, hormones, gut health, sleep, stress or recovery from illness; but you’re still trying to put the whole picture together.
Fatigue is a symptom. Our job is to understand why it’s happening and rectify it.
Fatigue can show up in different ways

Fatigue and it’s effects are not the same for everyone, and just ‘resting more’ isn’t the answer. You may be experiencing some, if not most, of the following:
Morning exhaustion - waking tired despite seemingly getting enough sleep.
Afternoon crashes - struggling to maintain energy or concentration through the day.
Brain fog - difficulty concentrating, remembering things or thinking clearly.
Poor exercise tolerance - activity leaving you much more depleted than expected.
Unrefreshing sleep - sleeping but not feeling restored.
Low motivation & drive - everything requiring more effort than it used to.
Feeling wired but tired - exhausted physically while struggling to properly switch off.
Slow recovery - taking longer to bounce back after illness, stress, exertion or busy periods.
UNDERSTAND WHAT’S CONTRIBUTING TO YOUR FATIGUE
Fatigue isn’t one diagnosis
Low energy can have many potential contributors. Depending on your history and symptoms, we may consider areas such as nutritional status, iron, thyroid function, blood-sugar regulation, sleep, hormonal changes, digestive health, stress load, medications and recovery following illness.
Sometimes several things overlap.
At Health Haven, we look at when your fatigue started, what was happening around that time, what makes it better or worse, what other symptoms occur alongside it and what investigations may actually be useful.
What We Consider
The key to how we work is taking the time to understand exactly what’s happening for you, because every woman’s experience is different. Then we map a plan specific to you. Our process looks like:
your energy pattern
Your specific energy cycle and how it changes throughout the day and night
health history
Including past illnesses, medications, treatments and existing pathology
sleep & stress
Because both can profoundly affect how you feel and function.
Nutritient status
The nutrients required to support energy, what you might be missing or be deficient in
metabolism & hormones
These impact energy in many ways, so we look in-depth
gut health
As a crucial part of energy creation including function, absorption and balance.
stress & immune
The impacts on your energy from immune issues, illnesses or stress levels
testing
If further investigation is genuinely useful, we’ll discuss it. We don’t test for the sake of testing.
how you’re supported
Tailored Treatment, Ongoing Care
We don’t use standard treatment protocols or give everyone the same herbs or supplements. Each person’s health is individual and requires individual attention.
Every person experiencing fatigue has different symptoms, and symptoms that often change over time. One week they’re exhausted and can barely get out of bed. The next week brain fog or muscle fatigue is debilitation.
That’s why every person receives a complete custom treatment plan and ongoing support, targeted toward your symptoms and your goals. Because it’s not enough to only address the root cause while your days continue to be miserable. Our treatment plans aim to provide acute and symptomatic relief, while we work on the underlying drivers and root cause.
At Health Haven you can choose to either work with us session by session, or in a 12 week healing journey, Complex Health Pathway. Most clients start with an Initial Consultation, which you can book below.

Before I was a practitioner, I was the patient. As someone who’s experienced a lot of chronic health issues, I know how hard it can be to find the right support.
That is why I do things differently at Health Haven.
You’ll be heard, understood and leave with the right protocol, streamlined supplements, a plan that suits your life and support between sessions if you need it. I am known for being caring and practical, and take a staged approach that prioritises your wellbeing, your lifestyle and your budget.
Plus, I’m the practitioner other practitioners trust to mentor them in clinical cases and business; and I served on the Board of Australia’s largest natural health association.

FAQs
Why am I tired all the time even though I’m getting enough sleep?
Getting enough hours of sleep doesn’t necessarily mean your sleep is restorative, and fatigue can have many possible contributors. Your nutrition and nutrient status, iron, thyroid function, hormones, blood-sugar regulation, digestive health, medications, stress and other health factors may all be relevant. During your Initial Consultation, we look at your symptoms and history as a whole rather than assuming there is one cause.
Can you help if my blood tests are normal but I’m still exhausted?
Yes. Many people come to us because they still don’t feel well despite previous investigations being reported as normal. We can review your existing results alongside your symptoms and health history and discuss whether anything warrants further investigation. We don’t order testing simply for the sake of testing.
Do I need blood tests before my appointment?
No. Bring along any recent pathology you already have, but you don’t need to organise new tests before seeing us. If further investigation would be useful, we can discuss that during your consultation.
What kinds of fatigue do you see?
People may come in experiencing persistent tiredness, waking exhausted, afternoon crashes, brain fog, poor stamina, difficulty recovering from exercise or illness, or simply feeling that their energy isn’t what it used to be. You don’t need to know what’s causing your fatigue before booking.
Will I need supplements or herbal medicine?
Yes generally. Recommendations are individual and depend on what we find during your consultation. Your treatment plan may involve nutrition, lifestyle changes, herbal or nutritional medicines or further investigation where appropriate.
We like to explain it like having a nutrient defiency, for example if you’re very deficient in iron, eating copious amounts of meat isn’t enough, you need to supplement back into normal range.
That is what our herbs and supplements do, support your body to re-establish normal function, which can then be replaced with nutrition or lifestyle changes.
Can naturopathic care work alongside my doctor?
Yes. Naturopathic care can sit alongside your existing medical care. We take your medications, diagnoses, pathology and current treatment into account and can work alongside your GP or other healthcare practitioners where appropriate.
Can I have my appointment online?
Yes. Consultations are available in person at Health Haven in Nerang on the Gold Coast or via telehealth Australia-wide.
Do I need a referral?
No. You can book an Initial Consultation directly.
