what’s going on?
When Your Energy Doesn’t Bounce Back
Persistent fatigue isn’t normal and it doesn’t just improve on it’s on.
It changes the way you live. Things you used to do with ease, now suddenly require planning, a rest day before and a couple of rest days after. One busy day can have you laid up for a week. Concentration is a struggle, you’re thinking through a fog. It feels like you’re dragging your feet through wet concrete.
Even relatively ordinary activities feel disproportionately demanding.
You might have already had investigations. You might have been unwell before it began. Or there may be no obvious moment when everything changed, it just crept up over time.
However you got to this point one thing is clear, you need a clear plan, a path to wellness and support to get you there. Because all you want is the “old you” back.
Chronic Fatigue Effects Many Areas Of Your Health

You might experience some of these, all of these, or something else, because no two journeys through chronic fatigue are the same.
Unrefreshing sleep
Brain fog & poor concentration
Reduced stamina
Difficulty recovering after activity
Muscle aches or heaviness
Headaches or feeling generally unwell
Digestive symptoms
Feeling significantly worse after physical or mental exertion
If these sound like you, we want you to know there is a way forward and recovery is possible. Let us help you heal.
looking at the whole picture
Chronic fatigue can be complex
Persistent fatigue doesn’t always have one simple explanation. Your history may involve previous illness, nutrient deficiencies, sleep disruption, trauma or stress, hormonal changes, digestive problems, thyroid or metabolic factors, medication effects, prolonged stress or other diagnosed health conditions.
That doesn’t mean every one of those things is causing your fatigue.
It means your individual history matters.
At Health Haven, we look at the timeline, your existing investigations and diagnoses, associated symptoms, current treatment and how your body is responding now.
What We Consider
The key to how we work is taking the time to understand exactly what’s happening for you, because every woman’s experience is different. Then we map a plan specific to you. Our process looks like:
Timeline & onset
Your specific energy cycle and how it changes throughout the day and night
history & investigations
Including past illnesses, medications, treatments and existing pathology
Energy & recovery patterns
Because sleep, energy and stress can profoundly affect how you feel and function.
Nutritient status
The nutrients required to support energy, what you might be missing or be deficient in
systems & functions
We look at the areas impacted and work out why
gut health
As a crucial part of energy creation including function, absorption and balance.
stress & immune
The impacts on your energy from immune issues, illnesses or stress levels
further testing
If further investigation is genuinely useful, we’ll discuss it. We don’t test for the sake of testing.

13+ Years of Clinical Experience + Lived Perspective + Proven Results
Before I was a practitioner, I was the patient. I understand chronic fatigue, because I’ve lived it. As someone who’s experienced a lot of chronic health issues, I know how hard it can be to find the right support.
That is why I do things differently at Health Haven.
You’ll be heard, understood and leave with the right protocol, streamlined supplements, a plan that suits your life and support between sessions if you need it. I am known for being caring and practical, and take a staged approach that prioritises your wellbeing, your lifestyle and your budget.
Plus, I’m the practitioner other practitioners trust to mentor them in clinical cases and business; and I served on the Board of Australia’s largest natural health association.
how you’re supported
Tailored Treatment, Ongoing Care
We don’t use standard treatment protocols or give everyone the same herbs or supplements. Each person’s health is individual and requires individual attention.
Every person experiencing chronic fatigue has different symptoms, and symptoms that often change over time. One week they’re exhausted and can barely get out of bed. The next week brain fog or muscle fatigue is debilitation.
That’s why every person receives a complete custom treatment plan and ongoing support, targeted toward your symptoms and your goals. Because it’s not enough to only address the root cause while your days continue to be miserable. Our treatment plans aim to provide acute and symptomatic relief, while we work on the underlying drivers and root cause.
At Health Haven you can choose to either work with us session by session, or in a 12 week healing journey, Complex Health Pathway. Most clients start with an Initial Consultation, which you can book below.

FAQs
What’s the difference between being tired and chronic fatigue?
Occasional or ordinary tiredness usually improves with adequate rest and recovery. Persistent fatigue may continue despite rest and can significantly affect concentration, physical activity, work and everyday life. There are also recognised medical conditions associated with persistent fatigue, so appropriate medical assessment is important rather than assuming all ongoing exhaustion has the same cause.
Do you work with people who have ME/CFS?
Yes we work with people as either stand-alone care or we can provide naturopathic support alongside the existing medical care of people who have been diagnosed with ME/CFS. Treatment is individual and takes your diagnosis, symptoms, existing investigations, medications and capacity into account. Naturopathic care does not replace appropriate medical management.
What if I haven’t been diagnosed with anything?
You don’t need to arrive with a diagnosis. If you’ve been experiencing persistent or unexplained fatigue, we can review your symptoms, timeline, health history and existing investigations and determine what the appropriate next steps may be. Where symptoms require medical investigation, we’ll recommend that too.
Do you understand that exercise can sometimes make chronic fatigue worse?
Yes. We don’t assume that everyone experiencing fatigue simply needs to exercise more. Your response to physical and mental exertion, recovery time and current capacity are important parts of the picture, and recommendations need to be appropriate for the individual.
Will I need supplements or herbal medicine?
Yes generally. Recommendations are individual and depend on what we find during your consultation. Your treatment plan may involve nutrition, lifestyle changes, herbal or nutritional medicines or further investigation where appropriate.
We like to explain it like having a nutrient defiency, for example if you’re very deficient in iron, eating copious amounts of meat isn’t enough, you need to supplement back into normal range.
That is what our herbs and supplements do, support your body to re-establish normal function, which can then be replaced with nutrition or lifestyle changes.
Should I bring my previous blood tests and medical reports?
Yes, if you have them. Previous pathology, specialist reports, diagnoses and a current medication or supplement list can all provide useful context and may prevent unnecessary duplication of investigations.
Will I need lots of testing?
Not automatically. We review what has already been investigated first. If additional testing may genuinely help clarify something relevant to your care, we can discuss the options and costs with you before proceeding.
Can you work alongside my GP or specialist?
Yes. Chronic health conditions often involve multiple practitioners. Naturopathic care can complement your existing medical care, and we take your diagnoses, medications and current treatment into account.
Can I see you online if getting to the clinic takes too much energy, or if I don't live near the clinic?
Absolutely. Consultations are available via telehealth Australia-wide, so you don’t need to travel to the Gold Coast clinic if that would place unnecessary demand on your energy.
